4th of July Cupcakes

For the 4th of July, I made these patriotic cupcakes out of a regular box cake and fondant.
I cut out blue and yellow stars out of fondant and placed them on top of an already frosted cupcake.
I had more blue than yellow so for all the blue star cupcakes, I rolled a ball of yellow and placed it on top and in the center for more of a decoration. I did the same for one yellow star and a blue ball.
These cupcakes were a hit at the party and everybody was fighting over the last few!!! It looks very decorative in a cupcake tree as well :) A great centerpiece for any BBQ!
