Homemade Abby Birthday Cake

I started out this Abby Birthday cake with 2 8" round cake pans and 1 9" round cake pan! Then I put cakes in freezer to harden so the cake crumbs wouldn't mix with the icing!

I used white cakes and white icing with food coloring for the colors I needed! Also for the eyelashes and black eye center I used dark chocolate since I couldn't find black food coloring anywhere! I carved the chin and pom pom hair with a kitchen knife! Then to make hair I used a toothpick and swirled around the pom pom hair to make it resemble hair!

It really was fun making it. I baked the cakes the night before. It was for my 3 year old niece's birthday party. She loved it!

Homemade Abby Cadabby Birthday Cake

I made this Abby Cadabby Birthday Cake for a daughter of my friend. I used the Abby Cadabby cake pan from Wilton and also used the special Wilton cake frosting mix that corresponds with the cake. As you can see, I think that the colors didn't turn out that great and I wish that I would have made my own frosting colors.

I also used pre-made canned frosting that seemed a little too thin for my liking. If I had to do it over again I would have made my own frosting so that it was stiff.
