Angel Cake
My goddaughter was born premature and we have come to think of her as a miracle, so when I decided to do her baptism cake, I decided that an angel cake would be perfect.
I had always wanted to work with fondant so I gave it a try. I found a marshmallow fondant receipe online and was amazed at how easy it is to work with. I printed the angel of my computer and tinted little pieces of fondant to do the details. I then cut the face, the dress, the hands and feet, every piece using the picture as a stencil.
I then rolled the yellow fondant and put it on the cake (two double layer square cake, one chocolate, one vanilla, side by side)
I made the letters with fondant too, rolling it like playdough and placing it on the cake.
I loved making it and will surely work with fondant again!!
