I made this cake along with the diego jungle cake for my sons 3rd birthday. I used a Big Top Cupcake pan and leveled the top layer. I used m&m's for the eyes, a piece of red licorace for the nose, and pink wafer cookies for the ears. For the rest I just used vanilla frosting, vanilla dyed orange, and chocolate frosting for accents. If you are using the big cupcake pans Isuggest you bake for 45 minutes rather than 35 the directions calls for.
This Koala cake was made using the frozen butter cream transfer technique. I drew the koala freehand, transferred it to another piece of paper backwards, then put wax paper on top and did the design in butter cream frosting.
Once frozen, you can peel off the wax paper and put it on the cake.
