After browsing all the amazing Barbie cakes on this website, I combined many different features into my own creation of a Barbie Doll Birthday Cake. I chose purple as the main colour as it is my daughter's favorite colour.
I used a real Barbie, then wrapped her in plastic wrap from the waist down to protect her. I used the Pampered Chef 2-quart glass bowl to make the dress and made that part with white cake (full cake mix) and made the stage chocolate and used a large cheesecake pan (full cake mix).
I used a paper towel roll to cut the hole down through both cakes but then used a fresh one to put the Barbie inside. I found this helped to keep her sturdy. Her dress was decorated with Wilton Tip #21 to make the rosettes.
I made all the icing the night before and took it out of the fridge about an hour before decorating the cake. The silver beads are edible candies from the Bulk Barn which gave her a polished look and accented the stage nicely. I would definitely make this cake again!

I have boy/girl twins and for their 7th birthday they couldn't decide on what they wanted to do for a theme. So I chose for them lol. I made my daughter a Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Design and my son a chinook helicopter. They both came out great.
For the Barbie I took my large glass Pyrex measuring bowl and sprayed it with non-stick spray and baked my cake in that. When it came out I turned it upside down to make her dress. I had bought a cheaper Barbie at the store so I could take her legs off for the cake. Then I stuck her in the cake and decorated her.

I used the Wilton doll cake pan and a ballerina Barbie for this Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Idea. I like that the outfit is already painted right on the doll so I didn't have to make a fondant top for the dress. I used 1 1/2 yellow cake mixes and white frosting to crumb coat. The pink MMF was made with strawberry flavored marshmallow and the orange was made with regular ones with dye added. I used little gold strings of beads on the front and around the waist.
This was really the easiest cake I have ever made.
A friend of mine asked me to make her daughter a barbie doll cake. It was my first time so obviously I was nervous but this Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Idea is what I made.
I baked a three layered cake, one doom and two round 9" cakes. I sandwiched them with a bit of fresh cream and them covered the rest of the body with white fresh cream. I plugged the doll in and decorated the dress with pink freshcream flowers and silver balls.
I was inspired to make this Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Design to surprise my friend. This cake was made with chocolate cake covered with royal icing. The upper body of the cake is a doll and cannot be eaten. The celebrant was also wearing a pink dress. They said it was so good to eat the cake and they just leave the cake for decoration.
