Barbie Doll Cake

This is my second attempt at a Barbie Doll cake. It was for my friends twenty-fifth birthday party. My friend and I made it for her.

I already had the Wilton's cake pan, so all I bought was white fondant and purple and black Wilton's die. It wasn't to bad to use, just took some time. We also used silver sprinkles and glitter all eatable of course.

The purse came with the doll, we filled it with purple sugar crystals and silver glitter fondant balls. We made a bracelet and necklace from fondant. Also we put fondant rolled in purple sugar crystals in her hair to hide the rubber bands.

Actually the pictures do her no justice. I really need a better camera! We used a lot of fondant for the rolls in the dress but it was worth it. We wanted the back to look like a corset with long ribbon hanging down, it turned out really cool.

My friends mom would not let us cut her. At the party, no one even knew that she was a cake! The candles were not eatable, they were real, not to be eaten.
