I made this cake using 2 boxes of ready mix,you know, all you add is eggs, oil and milk etc.
The instructions are all simple but remember to follow them. I used one round baking tin for one cake mixture as appossed to 2 for one box and 1 dome shape stainless steel dome shaped bowl and it ended up taking so long to bake through - LUCKILY NO BURNING!!
Anyway, one removed - it cooled down and then the sculpting.
I placed the round sponge on the bottom of the plate and then placed the dome shaped on top to sought of estimate how to go about this.
First I carfully trimmed the round the top dome to slant this down some more for the dress goen effect come from the waist of the doll.
Always do this carfully and gently - you might need these off cutts.
The I place the doll inside the top to see what this look like - remember to step back and look at it with every step!!!
After this I removed the top and spread jam in the middle and then placed the top with the doll back on top.
Carfully I cut a bout 1 cm around the bottom round layer and used this to fill the gap between the domne shaped and round shaped sponge to get the dress complete.
Then I iced it by placing a thin layer overall and waited anf then a nice stiff thick layer to complete.
I then used the marshmallows for decortation for the bottom of the ballgown and the flowers at the waist and suted it with some fairy dust.
On the day of the party I placed some flowers around the cake.
