Barnyard Cake

I made this Barnyard cake for my son's 1st birthday. This cake was so easy and FUN to make!

I made two 8" round cakes (I used yellow cake) and frosted the bottom then added them together. If you have a cake pan or even a lazy Susan it makes it easier for frosting. I used chocolate frosting for the cake, then used green icing for the grass. I crumbled up some graham crackers which you can have the kids do so they can help out.

Once the graham crackers are all crumbled up I sprinkled them onto the cake to make the road, and then two whole graham crackers for both sides of the cake. I added the tractor and cows for the finishing touches.

I had a Fisher Price barnyard lying around and added that to the background.
