This Atlanta Braves Baseball Hat Cake is my first cake of this style. The cake is vanilla. I used one recipe of batter. I filled 2 8" cake pans. I leveled each cake, and used the domes to complete the baseball hat shape. I used a real cap as a constant guide.

I iced with buttercream. I cut a piece of cardboard for the bill. I covered the entire unit with black fondant. The used fondant for the detail. I used a fondant quilting tool for the stitching. I cut the logo with an exacto knife. I used cutters for the name. The baseball logo was free hand.

When finished I coated with Pam for a nice sheen.

Homemade Baseball Cake

I made this cake for my sister in laws baby shower. I used a mold for the glove. I baked a 13x9 and put the glove on top of it to give it more of a 3D effect. I used a piping bag and star tip to frost the cake. The bases and all decorations are made out of frosting.

Homemade Wrigley Baseball Field Birthday Cake

Homemade Wrigley Baseball Field Birthday Cake

I made this Wrigley Baseball Field Birthday Cake for my brother's 30 birthday. It was a bit extreme, but I was up for the challenge. I made my own fondant and just went piece by piece. The whole thing took about 12 hours to make.

The scoreboard and marquee are sugar cookies wrapped in fondant.

This is great! Such detail!

Great work! Question?
by: Nikki B

These men and their love for their "loveable loser" :). You did such an amazing job and I am happy you did, so that hopefully I can. The man in my life is requesting this and I do not feel like paying the hundreds I know it will cost here in Chitown. How exactly did you create the sides? And the stands? You created something exactly how I was picturing but can not fully figure out the assembling. 12hrs! I had a feeling that's what it is going to take. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Homemade Baseball Birthday Cake

This is a 16x16x3 Baseball Birthday Cake. It's for our t-ball team. I hand painted the baseball men the color of our uniforms. I printed the baseball field specs off the web and made 3 patterns from it. The rest was just a grass tip.
