Belle Cake

When my granddaughter was born and named Isabelle I already knew what cake I would make. I used the Wonder cake pan by Wilton for the skirt of the Belle cake and placed her on a 12" heart shaped pan.

I used golden yellow and lemon yellow to color the frosting and I used yellow sugar sparkle flakes to make it glitter. I used a #104 tip to make the swags and a #21 for the border on top. I bought the Belle insert off EBay and a little Beast that I had and Voila a pretty cute cake.

Since she was one I also made a little smash cake and did it up like the skirt with a big 1 on it. She knew just what to do and cake was all over her. My daughter learned a lesson from her son, this time Belle was bare except for her diaper so clean up much easier on Mom and the birthday girl.
