Sam's Frog & Lily Pad Cupcakes

Sam's Frog & Lily Pad Cupcakes

These were so much fun to make. They took a while but they were fun.

I made the cupcakes using a box recipe.

For the frogs...
I iced them with store bought frosting died green. I used green peanut M&M's, white frosting and chocolate chips. I used the frosting like glue to attach the chocolate chips to the M&M's. I stuck the M&M's into each cupcake Standing on end to give them a 3D look. I used pink frosting to make a smile on each frog.

For the Lily Pads...
I iced them with store bought frosting died blue. I made a box of sugar cookies and colored them green. I baked the cookies and while they were still warm, I cut a V out of each cookie. I placed each cookie on the blue cupcakes and using a star tip I used yellow frosting to put a flower on each pad.

It was fun to watch the kids eat them. The older kids were too funny. They told the younger kids "take a lily pad because you get a cookie and a cupcake." Too Funny!!
