Black & White Sweet 16 Cake

Black & White "Hollywood" Cake
My daughter's name is Holly & she wanted a "Hollywood Style" birthday, so I did my best to make a glamorous Black & White, 3-tiered cake. It was my first time doing a 3 tiered cake & 1st time with Marshmallow Fondant; which I am now "hooked on". You can mold it like clay! "I just jumped in & dared myself to do it...believing I could". So I know you can too!
I got ideas from many sites; but the most informative was "YUMMY ARTS". You have to subscribe...but I did it just for the month before her birthday, learned everything I could then canceled. I wrote notes on everything they had & so it was well worth the nominal charge. PS> Everyone raved...and my "Diva Daughter" couldn't of been happier.
Note: I did use some plastic tubes for supports in the bottom 2 layers. I wrapped pearls & white netting around each other & tucked one end under the cake, then wrapped the cake- to make it more elegant. I used a Crystal tube, pushed it into the center of the top layer & "like a vase" had it hold several stiff wires that I took needle nosed plyers to bend & make a "hook" at the end. I then attached jewels to the 4 "hooks" so they could dangle above the cake one on each side(see picture).
