Candyland Cake

candyland fondant cake
My 6yr old daughter loves the game candyland so I decided to make this cake for her. I made the fondant out of marshmallow and powder sugar. I also made some gum paste out of confectioners sugar, glucose and gum tex for the characters.I made all the characters 1 week before decorating each character took me about 1 to 2 hours to make. I baked the cakes and frosted them and put them in the refrigerator 1 day before decorating. Decorating was the fun part.To decorate the cake it took me about 7 hrs (but so worth it)
This was my first fondant cake and I take great pride on it since everything on it was made out of scratch :).
