Every birthday my kids and I search the internet for ideas on what cake they want for their birthday. We then make it together and I decorate it. It has become a very special part of their birthdays…it’s a big deal. This year the party theme was everything princess. My daughter was turning three and she wanted a castle.
I found a Wilton’s cake mold and we made the cake together. She picked out all the colors of the frosting and I stayed up after she went to bed to frost it. The very FIRST thing she said after she woke up is “is my cake ready?” She was so excited to see it. We had a wonderful party, with several “princesses” in training. They loved the cake!! And so did their moms. Birthdays are magical to me. It is a time where I want my kids to feel like the most special person on the planet. Having a special cake seems to help do that.
