Caterpillar Cake

by Desiree D.
(Indiana)

Igot the idea from this site. I wasn't able to get a ball pan (which I highly recommend) so I used two different size glass bowls to get my desired sizes for the two caterpillars. I baked 10 cakes in each size and added two cakes together to make the ball. After sticking them together with icing I used different colored buttercream icing to do the decorating. I simply used boxed cakes and made different sections of the caterpillar different flavors. It was really easy but took me a few hours to do all the baking since I only had one glass dish of each size. My daughter loved having her own cake to herself and I loved the fact that they matched.
