I made this Homemade Cinderella Birthday Cake Design for my best friend's daughter Chloe on her third birthday party. I made two layers of cakes using a rectangle shaped tin, with butter cream icing in the middle of the layers. Then i used the butter cream icing for the coating, let it set, then use a fondant to cover it. I used a light blue food color to make the fondant blue.
For the top part of the cake, I used a round cake tin, then just covered with butter cream icing. And for the dress, I used a glass bowl to bake the cake (skirt)in it. I then coated with butter cream icing, then after setting, covered with the same colored fondant to make the dress. Oh, I made sure I cut a hole on the skirt before covering with the fondant.
I then took a simple doll which I got for a dollar, took of it's legs & undressed it. I stuck the doll on the skirt where there was a hole and then just used butter cream icing with a light blue color to make the top part of the dress, her necklace & earrings.
I used the remaining fondant for the gloves and the decorations on the bottom of the cake. I also used some decorations I got from the shops on the bottom of the skirt.
The cake was a WINNER and I was so proud of myself!
I made this Cinderella carriage cake for my daughter's 5th birthday. Everybody loved it and it was simple to make. I just used two cake mixes made according to package directions. I poured them into two bunt pans. I made them the day before I decorated them and after they cooled, I put them in the freezer. This made it easier to decorate.
I placed one cake upside down and the other on top with icing in the center to hold them together. We used a light blue color and frosted the whole cake. Then I piped pink frosting to make the door and yellow frosting to make curtains. I then placed an ice cream cone in the hole at the top of the cake. Then I piped it with green frosting.
The wheels I used some crystal wired rope stuff that I found in the weeding cake supply section. It needs to be wired so that it will hold the shape that you want. The base of the cake was a Tupperware container that I wrapped in lime green fabric.
This Cinderella with her coach cake was for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It was a standard 9x13 cake with icing dyed green (for grass) and pink (the birthday girl's favorite color). The stones/pebbles on the path are chocolate rock candy.
The body of the coach/carriage was shaped with rice crispy treats, frosted with icing. The wheels of the coach are pipe cleaners. I used green Starburst candy for the leaves and trim on the coach and jelly beans for the edge of the cake.
Cinderella in Pink: This cake was a marble cake with hazelnut chocolate filling (nutella), It was made from the Princess Wilton Pan, decorated in Pink buttercream (the birthday girl ask for pink) with star tip #18, I put a little bit of edible glitter to give a shiny...the girls love it.
