This is my first attempt at a wedding cake. I was asked a few weeks ago to make it for a friend.

The cakes are basic sponge as that is what was requested, I used a lemon buttercream for the filling and the crumb coat, then covered them in fondant icing.

The flowers and leaves are made from petal paste which I coloured myself, I then wired them together to form a garland and attached them to the cake using posy picks, very pleased with the end result.
