A friend’s daughter was turning 5, and really wanted a sugar skull cake. I got the Wilton’s 3d cake pan from Michael’s, and covered it in decorative fondant. It was a huge hit! The girl’s mom had fun with the candles too, she put one in the middle of each eye, one in the forehead, and one in each nostril.
Everyone at the party loved this cake, and I can’t wait to make another one soon.
(Some of the fondant decorations in the last pic are missing because the birthday girl ate them!)
