Coolest 13th Birthday Guitar Cake

My brother made me this cake for my 13th birthday in February. It was a cherry chip cake with butter cream frosting and it was colored purple. He used Strawberry Pocky for the whammy bar and the frets, and he used mini Reese’s buttercups for the dials. It was yummy. It took him 6 hours and he did it while I was at school.

This homemade 13th birthday guitar cake was about half the size of my grandma’s kitchen table. My whole family ate it all in just a few days. I only got two pieces :).

To make this homemade 13th birthday guitar cake he baked two separate cakes and then made a cardboard stencil to cut the shape of the cakes. He put them together and then frosted them. The colors were purple which was my favorite color, brown for the neck and white for the rest. He wouldn’t tell me what it was until he showed it to me and I thought it was really cool (considering he had never had any practice making cakes shaped like objects).

It was really really exciting. I loved this homemade 13th birthday guitar cake. It is my favorite kind and it tasted really ridiculously yummy. I liked it because it was a guitar and I really enjoy music.
