Homemade 1st Birthday Car Cake
I made this 1st Birthday Car Cake for my friend Cleo's kid, Ivan on his first birthday. I used a 10" round pan and cut both sides, approximately 2" thick and placed it on top to form the hump. Inside is a choco moist cake.
For filling, it's strawberry preserves and butter frosting. Boiled icing was used with strawberry extract for added yumminess. I crumb coat it with white icing, then used star tip to color it. I initially thought of using choco doughnut for the tires, but since it's a little bit big and will not be proportionate, I used Oreo cookies instead. Also used Nips and Polo mint for head/tail lights.
I had spare icing left, so I decided to color it green to look like grass and sprinkled with some choco chips.
