Homemade 2nd Birthday Plane Cake
For this homemade 2nd birthday plane cake I cut off an 8 in square yellow cake into segments (like building blocks) and arranged it into an airplane shape. Glue the segments together with some frosting. Put the cake in the fridge for a couple of hours.
Next step was to crumb coat the cake with a thin layer of frosting. Pop it back into the fridge. When you're ready to decorate, take it out from the fridge and ice the cake. I used buttercream. Put in a small teddy biscuit as the pilot, some smarties as the window, and draw some lines to 'shape' the plane.
