This Homemade 3D Cupcake Birthday Cake was made for my daughter’s birthday. It has 3 layers of strawberry cake with chocolate ganache filling and frosting. I stacked 3 of 6″ cakes with filling inside and let it sit in fridge for a little while. Then I carved and shaped the cake in order to look like a giant cupcake.
After putting frosting on, I made indentations on the bottom part of cake to get cupcake liner look on it. I covered the top with pink fondant and added some big sprinkles on top. Topped the entire thing off with fondant “cream” and fondant “cherry”.
