Coolest 50th Wedding Anniversary Cake Design

I have just started making cakes on the side and this is a 50th Wedding Anniversary Cake Design that I did for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The couple eloped so they never had a wedding cake. Each layer is a vanilla cake and is covered in homemade buttercream icing. I tinted the buttercream with an ivory color before covering, and then used it also to hand pipe all the scroll work. I then took gold satin ribbon and used that for each of the layer’s borders. Each of the calla lillies that you see were handmade out of fondant by myself.

The topper for this cake was bought by the client that she wanted to use so her parents would have something to mark their 50th Anniversary with. I also found the 50th gold symbol at my local hobby store.

After the cake was finished, I thought it turned out great and was very pleased with it.
