Homemade 7th Birthday Waterslide Cake
My grandson had a water themed party for his 7th birthday so I made this 7th Birthday Waterslide Cake for him. I used a 12 x 15 pan and frosted the cake plain white. For the "waterslide" I used store bought pound cake a carved it into a 7 with the bottom part sloped like a slide. I iced that in white frosting also and used blue jello for the water.
The people were Teddy Grahams that I used frosting to paint bathing suit onto them. I used Extreme Airheads for the towels and drink umbrella's. I colored fondant and use this for the inner tubes. The lifeguard stand was made with pretzels.
This cake was so much fun to make. It took me about 6 hours to decorate and I enjoyed every minute. Everyone loved it! That was back in August and people still comment on it.
My granddaughter's birthday was this past weekend and I made her a Princess Castle cake. I submitted that today also.
