Homemade Abby Cadabby Cake

Homemade Abby Cadabby Cake

Just practicing for my stepdaughter's birthday cake. I decide to make her an Abby Cadabby cake with two color cake mix. I made the usual yellow cake recipe but I divided the cake mixture by two and dyed each mixtures, one pink and the other blue. You can also as many colors as you like.

0ne time I made a cake with five colors on it. It's the same technique as the marble cake, only that is the same flavor only dyed. For the decoration I draw on top of a rice paper. I used the basic frosting to cover all the cake with the help of a spatula.

Then I placed the rice cake drawing on top of the frosting covered cake. I outlined all the drawing with the tinted frosting and filled the lines. I used the 2, 6, 27 and 67 tips.

Hope you like the finished look. My family liked it a lot, as you will see.

I've never heard of that kind of rice paper technique before. Your cake is lovely: thanks for sharing!
