Homemade Airplane Flying In The Clouds Cake

Homemade Airplane Flying In The Clouds Cake

I used a "Roasting" pan and two boxes store bought cake mixes for the airplane cake. I cooled in the fridge overnight. Decorated the next day.

I carved the airplane shape with a knife adding extra cake to wing tips. Then I iced using two cans store bought whipped chocolate icing and a star tip. For the windshield white icing and outlined in black. Was very simple and cheap for ANYONE to make. And everyone just loved it, they thought it was the coolest cake ever.

But it was really simple, just time consuming. Be prepared for an hour or so of icing. Can be decorated to your liking. Also used blue cotton candy for "clouds".

I also carved the tail wing from additional cake and "glued" on with icing (I used a screwer to hold it up, it started to lean as I was icing). I would also wait till the party to add the cotton candy, It melts pretty quick in a little humidity.
