Alligator Cake

I made this alligator cake for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves alligators. It consisted of a 9x13 for the body, a 8in round for the head, a angel food pan for the tail, two mini cupcakes for eyes and 4 cupcakes for the feet. The teeth are made from marshmallows.

I cut the 8 in round into the shape of what I thought an alligator head looked like. Then I rounded the corners of the 9x13. I cut the cake baked in the angel food pan into 3 parts. The feet are cupcakes split in half. The teeth are marshmallows cut into triangles. It is iced with the homemade Wilton buttercream icing. The water is coconut dyed with blue food coloring.

It was a hit.
