Fun DIY Angry Birds Cake

I made this Angry Birds Cake for my son’s school for a charity auction to raise money for kids summer camp programs.

The base is a 10″ x 10″ square and the top is a 6″ x 6″ square decorated to look like a box of TNT. All of the birds, pigs and decorations are all made from fondant and glued on with melted white chocolate. Make the birds and sling shot ahead of time so they set hard. I inserted a toothpick into the bottom of the slingshot to have something to stick into the cake when it came time to stand it up.

My kids love playing Angry Birds and thought the birds were their plastic toys.

  2. The detail on all the little birds and TNT box was amazing. Diana worked hard on creating each original piece, and the results were breathtaking. More importantly, her cakes are delicious!

  3. Hi there,
This cake rocked and continues to rock. It garnered the largest amount for the silent auction of all the cakes receiving a bid six times that of its closest competitor to raise money for a worthy cause. The teacher asked for business cards as she had a number of parents asking for the creator of the cake.

  4. What a fantastic design for an Angry Birds cake. You can tell that you love what you do as it is clear you must have spent many hours making all of the components that went into this wonderful cake. I am sure the school was over the moon with the cake and the money it fetched at the silent auction.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your cakes.
