Homemade Army Tank Cake

Homemade Army Tank Cake

I made this army tank cake for my nephew's 9th birthday party. I used a regular 9 x 13 cake pan for the bottom and a loaf pan for the top and just cut the front of the loaf pan at an angle.

I mixed a jar of white and a jar of chocolate icing to get the tan coloring and then gave it a few sprays of green food coloring to get the camo effect.

The wheels were made of Oreo cookies and the track were made out of Hershey bar squares. I printed off an army logo and just stuck it to the icing on the front of the tank and used a couple of army toys to decorate.

I covered an Oreo cookie with icing for the lid to the tank and sprinkled Graham Cracker crumbs on the cake plate to look like desert sand.

My nephew loved it!
