Homemade Baby Cake
I made this baby cake for my sister's and mine baby shower. I was having a girl and she was having a boy so I decided to go with pink and blue.
The cake is 3 layers. The first layer is butter recipe yellow. The second one is chocolate and the third is yellow again.
I covered the whole cake in buttercream icing. Then I rolled the fondant. I never worked with fondant before so it was pretty hard for me to put it on the cake just right.
The baby, blanket, teddybear and bow are also made out of fondant. The bow is a little to thick but it kept falling apart when I made it thinner.
Either way everyone was very impressed and said it was really tasty too.
