Coolest Baby in Basket Cake

This is a baby in basket cake that I made for a friend for a baby shower. She was going to have a boy so I did the background in blue and then put little rosette flowers all over it.

It was made in a 12 inch cake pan so it would feed many people because we were not sure how many people would be there. I was at first going to do the baby’s head as a cookie but then decided to just use the icing for the head. I used the basket weave look to make it look like the baby is in a basket.

On this cake I made the baby with one hair but if you have a baby that has a head of hair then you could do a head of hair. This is a great cake to make for a baby shower or even an after the baby comes. You can make it for a boy or a girl.
