Homemade 21st Bag Birthday Cake

This Bag Birthday Cake was made by me as a surprise for a friend's 21st birthday.

I started by cooking a 12 inch round cake and cut it in half creating a semi circle shape. I then placed them together to make the bag thicker and then I placed the cake on the board to decorate.

I iced the cake using coloured fondant. I made the handles for the bag using fondant which I laid down over the top of the cake. I then made and placed a zip, buckle, numbers (21) the words happy birthday, flowers and mini makeup to decorate all with fondant.

To finish it off I placed beads, tulle and feathers to add to the effect. Everyone loved it and it was fun to make.
