Jessica's Chanel Bag Cake
I made this bag cake for my friend Valentina, who always wanted a Chanel bag, so you can imagine her surprise when she saw the edible version of it!
I made a basic box white cake in a 9x12 pan, cut the edges to form the trapezoid shape of the tote bag and covered it with a thin layer of vanilla frosting. I let it cool and I covered it with white fondant. I used a fondant cutting tool similar to a pizza cutter with ridged edges in order to create the stitching - quilted effect.
I Googled the CC logo and printed it and used it as a guide to cut out the black fondant into that shape. I rolled the rest of the black fondant into a rope-like shape for the handles.
Just like the real one!
