Homemade Barbie Birthday Cake

I just finished my first Barbie Birthday Cake attempt, a good cake design for an amateur like me. A very fun cake to make!

I used one box of cake mix, in a 2 qt bowl- but to do it again would use at least one and a half boxes of mix. I am not very good at smooth frosting (I prefer starring) so I used the serrated edge of my cake knife (which I frost with as well) to make grooves in the white part of the dress. I liked this textured look.

It was a pretty easy cake for me who is not very talented. It is fun to design your own dress.
We did have to amputate Barbie's legs due to the shortness of the dress. I don't think there will be any permanent damage though, should pop back together fine.
