Coolest Bright Pink Barbie Cake

I used four 9 in. round cakes, and then a bundt cake pan for this cake. I froze the cakes, then after freezing for about an hour, I pulled out and put on a crumb coating.

I mixed pink gel food coloring into the fondant (I tried marshmallow fondant and it fell apart. I bought this fondant, but would like to try the marshmallow again). After rolling it out- length x width x heighth, I cut a hole in the fondant and also the rest of the cakes.

I covered Barbie in plastic wrap, stuck her in, and then decorated! I used scrapbooking paper flowers to decorate her dress and some ribbon. It was fun to be creative, and my daughter was the leader of the decorating! I thought it was super easy using the fondant, but it sure doesn’t taste good, so make sure you have a nice crumb coating! You have to have this to help the fondant stick.
