Beautiful Pink Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Idea with Cupcakes

I decided to try and make this Barbie Doll Birthday Cake Idea after my 4 year old saw one in the store and asked for it for her birthday. The cost of the cake in the store was $40, so I thought after the initial investment, I’d be able to save money in the long run.

I purchased the pan at Michael’s with my 40% coupon, baked my cake, then started my first experience with fondant! I practiced and practiced the little flowers and made them ahead to harden and “glue” them on with the frosting. I tinted the fondant and all the frosting the same pink color. I rolled fondant to put underneath the dress to make it look wavy. I wrapped fondant around the Barbie to look like her dress, then just added flowers.
