Homemade Barbie Princess Birthday Cake
My daughter has been pestering me to bake her a Barbie Princess Birthday Cake for her birthday for months. I used 3 boxes of Betty Crocker (Yellow/Chocolate fudge)cake mix. Two boxes are used for the skirt, Wilton mould and 1 box for the base of 8" round pan.
For the frosting, I made vanilla/almond frosting. Since my daughter told me that she wants a Barbie in white, I bought a Barbie on sale for S$19.90 only. I inserted the Barbie in the middle and decorated the skirt with 3 packets of marshmallow.
Sugar flower insert around the waist of the Barbie are to cover the hole. Simple and yet looks very professional done by bakery store!
