Homemade Barbie Princess Birthday Cake
This Barbie Princess Birthday Cake was done for a friend of mine who had seen a previous Barbie cake that I had done for my own daughter.
I love doing these. The fondant I make from scratch as with the cakes and buttercream. So lots of butter and good stuff in these. I try to cut down on the sugar in the cake itself as everything else is so sweet. The roses are made from the fondant - each rose is started with the callyx, then each petal added on top. Lots of finicky work but worth it in the end.
