My grand-daughter Mya wanted a Barbie Princess cake for her 5th birthday because that's her favorite doll. Using 3 different size of cake pans, I baked a tasty sponge cake (not cake mix)for 45 mins. It cooled for 1 hr. then refrigerate for another half an hour for easy trimming.
I arranged the Barbie Princess cake and incorporated Disney Cinderella doll into the middle. I made the dress with blue fondant which turn out perfect cause I add the coloring to the gelatin before adding the icing sugar.
To display my creativity, i made her tiara, earing, neck piece and want out of fondant, I also used silvers to enhance her dress and beauty, this is my very first try at a Cinderella Doll cake and I am so proud of myself.
Mya loved her Barbie Princess Cake and I am sure it will be her lifetime memory.
