Homemade Barnyard Cake
I made this homemade barnyard cake for my daughter's second birthday, she loves cows so I thought this would be perfect.
The barn is made out of 2 chocolate cakes baked in a round pan. I then trimmed the cake to make a square and used the extra for the roof. I covered the barn with homemade buttercream frosting and used fondant for the roof. The silo is made of rice krispie treats covered with fondant.
All the animals are made from rice krispie treats covered with fondant. So is the tree, the hay bale, and the pumpkins. The apples and flowers are made from just fondant.
Under the cows is white cake covered with homemade buttercream frosting. This homemade barnyard cake was a big hit with everyone that came to the party.
