Cool Homemade Baseball Cake with Baseball Cards

My son turned 9 years old this year and wanted a baseball cake. We started the Phillies Season with a trip to Spring Training down in Clearwater, Florida. In anticipation of the World Series and the success of Winning the National League, we wanted his birthday cake to honor the Phillies Team 2008.

We used coconut and sprayed it green for the grass. Used crumbled Graham crackers for the baseline. Then broke off squares of Hershey Chocolate for the bases. We then bought a pack of Phillies Baseball cards at the local sporting good store and put them on card holders from the local craft store and placed them into their positions.

The cake was a hit!
