Homemade Baseball Cap Cake

My friend is a huge Dodgers and Raiders fan so for his birthday I wanted to make him a special Baseball Cap cake. He kind of mentioned that he wanted a Dodgers hat cake, so I set out to figure out how to make one. I looked on this site for some clever ideas-which of course I found.

To make this cake I used the sport ball Wilton cake pans for the cap and a square pan to make the bill. I cut the square cake in half to make it a little flatter and then I carved it to be shaped like a bill. I made marshmallow fondant and dyed it dodger blue and raider black to cover the two cakes. I also left some white to cut out the team symbols.

It turned out really well-aside from the teams that he choose!
