Coolest Baseball Field and Ball Cake

This Baseball Field and Ball Cake was make for a 10 year old that loves baseball. I started with a Wilton 12 inch round cake pan and the small Wilton Sports Ball pan. I cut the edge off on two sides of the round cake to make it look more like a baseball field.

I used a large spatula to smooth the “dirt” part of the field. I traced my lines for the baseball diamond on by using a toothpick. A grass tip was used for the grass and a round tip was used for the white line and bases.

After decorating the field, I cut a wedge out of one of the halves for the round ball so it would fit against the field cake. It fit like a puzzle.

I added a blue and red border because it was the team colors.

Tristan and his friends enjoyed the cake following a ballgame on his birthday.
