Homemade Basketball Jersey Cake
My sister asked me to make a Kobe Bryant jersey cake. I told her just a jersey isn't challenging enough, I like to push it over the top. So this is the Homemade Basketball Jersey Cake I built. The wood floor is vanilla sponge with vanilla pudding filling, the fondant was hand painted with a wood texture. I've been looking for some reason to replicate wood, this was the perfect time.
The bottom half of the ball is rice krispie treats, for support. The top half is chocolate sponge cake with a Swiss creme chocolate filling, then covered in fondant. The jersey is fondant with all details added then draped over ball and wood floor.
