Homemade Batman Emblem Birthday Cake
Our oldest grandson was four years old on his birthday in October. He already had plans to dress as Batman for all the fall festivities, so he chose a Batman theme for his birthday party.
I made the French vanilla cake in an oval pan and iced it with butter cream/cream cheese icing tinted a bright yellow. The sides all the way around were iced smooth. I covered the top with stars using the star tip in the same bright yellow. Around the bottom of the cake I piped a scroll border in black.
On top of the Batman Emblem Birthday Cake I outlined the bat signal in black and filled in with the star tip. I also wrote our happy birthday shout out to our big four year old in black under the bat signal shape.
