Homemade Beach Scene Birthday Cake
This Beach Scene Birthday Cake was for my niece's birthday. I used two boxes of yellow cake mix. I crushed graham cracker crumbs for the beach sand. I used vanilla frosting with blue dye for the water.
The palm trees were pretzel rods dipped in chocolate. The palm branches were made from Air Heads, but not stiff enough, it wilted. The Teddy Grahams beach attire was also made out of the Air Heads. Very simple to assemble once all the figures/decorations were done. All was edible except the whale and seal which were erasers and the beach umbrella. Pretzel sticks and graham cracker for the surf guard chair.
The underwater scenes on the sides were cheddar fish, Swedish fish and raisinettes for the rocks. Everyone loved it.
