Coolest Belle Princess Doll Cake

I made this cake for my daughter’s 4th birthday which was Disney Princess. I used a Pyrex bowl and 2 round pans. It took two cake mixes, one for the bowl and one for the round pans. Once the cakes were baked and cooled, I used butter cream icing to stack the round cakes and then turned the bowl cake upside down and placed it on top of the stacked round cakes all with frosting in between and then covering the outside.

I purchased the Belle doll, removed her dress and clipped her hair up and out of the way. I used saran wrap and wrapped her body to just past her breast. Using a knife, I carefully cut out some of the cake starting at the top center and going all the way down to the bottom. I then pushed Belle down inside.

I colored fondant yellow mixed with a little brown and shaped it around the bowl and down. Using another piece of fondant, I shaped it around her top. To cover up where the pieces of fondant meet on the back of the dress, I made a simple bow out of the fondant.

Using the edible glitter in gold mixed with lemon juice, I painted the dress to give the shimmery effect. I bought pre-made red roses and attached them to the dress with a dab of frosting. Once the homemade Belle princess doll cake was finished I let Belle’s hair down! I placed her on a glass cake stand and it was a big hit.
