Cool Homemade Ben 10 Cake Made From Wilton’s Dinosaur Cake Pan

My son is a huge fan of Ben-10 from cartoon network. I have been baking his birthday cakes for 7 years and watch a lot of food network, and live by WWDD- what would Duff do?-. So this Ben 10 cake is the arm of Ben and his latest omnitrex.

The arm pan was the Wilton dinosaur, carved down to arm width and the omnitrex is one-half of a ball with the top cut off. I layered “bones” of fondant and covered the cake with a mix of tan and light brown fondant, that was highlighted with a light mix of vodka and black/brown paste food coloring.

The Omnitrex detailing is black fondant and hand-tinted gray fondant. The glowing green was achieved with Wilton green glitter gel. Overall, one of my favorite cakes and only took about 45 minutes to decorate start to finish.

  1. I LOVE UR BEN 10 WATCH CAKE.ESPECIALLY BECAUSE ITS DIFFERENT,AS MOST PEOPLE GO FOR THE ACTUAL BEN 10 CHARACTER. MY SONS ARE BEN 10 FANS, AND MY 4YEAR OLD JUST GOT A WATCH JUST LIKE THIS CAKE FOR HIS BIRTHDAY THIS MONTH,IF HE SEES THIS CAKE THEN HE’D WANT ANOTHER BIRTHDAY IMMEDIATELY.

    NICE JOB WELL DONE.
