Homemade Ben 10 Onmitrex Cake
I am just a novice when it comes to cake decorating. Last year I could not find a Ben 10 cake that I liked and came up with this Ben 10 Omnitrex cake instead.
I baked one rectangle shaped cake and one round using cake mix from the box. When the cake cooled completely I iced the rectangular cake with black icing which was chocolate frosting with black food coloring. Once the top layer was frosted I placed the round cake on top.
For the round cake and the simple details I used white frosting. I use two jars of store purchased frosting, the first I halved for green and for plain white. With the second jar I added a few drops of black food coloring for grey. As for the green I used both yellow and green food coloring to get the neon green color.
I used basic zip bags as my tools for icing the cake. I looked at different images on the web for the pattern the Omnitrex as well as used my son's watch as the inspiration.
My son loved it and it was easy to do.
