Homemade Betty Boop Masquerade Birthday Cake
I made this Betty Boop Masquerade Birthday Cake for a friend's daughter's 16th birthday. She absolutely loves Betty Boop and had a masquerade ball for her party. The cake was made out of white chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache. Betty was made from modelling chocolate and gumpaste and the masks were made from gumpaste with edible glitter.
I didn't want to cover Betty's face with a mask so to tie her in with the theme she has a little black mask near her hand. I loved how the bow turned out. I used cotton balls to make the bow and some of the cotton stuck. I managed to get it all out but next time will try wadding.
